Rudheath is a village and civil parish around 2 miles to the east of Northwich in Cheshire. The parish boundaries include the village of Rudheath and the area known as Broken Cross. The parish also includes Gadbrook Park Business Park. The parish is home to several large companies including Frank Roberts Bakery and Morrison’s Distribution Centre. The parish also benefits from two excellent schools in Rudheath.

The Parish Council is the first level of local government closest to the people and represents the concerns and interests of the community. A common misconception is that the parish council is connected to the church. This is not the case, a parish may well have a parish church, but the parish church and the parish council are not related.
One of the Council’s key role is to represent the interests of local residents to lobby authorities such as Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a democratically elected body, the Council’s voice is listened to. Rudheath Parish Council provides and manages the playing fields at Gadbrook Road and Griffiths Park (St John’s). The parish council is also responsible for running and managing Rudheath Cemetery. Rudheath Parish Council also has a say in planning applications within the parish along with traffic calming and crime prevention issues.
Representing Local Residents
Your local councillors are unpaid volunteers who put themselves forward for election to represent our community whenever and wherever required. If you have any local issues that concern you then you can contact any of the Parish Council about them. The Parish Council usually meets on the second Monday of each month (except August) at 7.00 pm at the Leisure Centre on Shipbrook Road (currently at The Venue). The notice board section of this website will be used to announce each individual meeting, in advance.
